Function test stand for front axle drive

JW Froehlich developed a function test stand for front axle drives for a German OEM. To meet the stringent noise level requirements of electric vehicles, the tested components must adhere to the highest manufacturing and assembly quality standards. 

During the test cycle, the gearbox is set in motion by three electric motors. Once the target speeds are reached, structure-borne noise measurements are conducted to analyze vibrations and verify compliance with predefined thresholds. 

Since the test stand needed to accommodate different types of front axle drives, JW Froehlich collaborated closely with the long-standing customer to develop a flexible test stand concept featuring manual loading and adaptation of the test object.
